The Adjustment Bureau Review

“The Adjustment Bureau” was very anticlimactic and soooo slow! The story seemed to move at a glacial pace. It was like they tried to build to something amazing that never happened. I liked the chemistry between Emily and Matt, they both had a really nice presence on camera, but their dialog and interactions were almost on the cheesy side.

I also thought the film contradicted itself a lot and I did not appreciate that. You either have control of people’s lives or you don’t. Pick a concept and stick with it! I thought that was a huge flaw in the writing and it took me right out of the movie.

The only thing that saved this movie was the characters. They were very likable. Even the agents in the Bureau were likable. So it was difficult for me to hate the movie entirely, but if it hadn’t been for them, this movie would be totally shit. I’ll give it a 3.5 and I am being generous.
